This hotel is ideally suited to the casual or business traveler
to NYC. As centrally located as one can get in the city and close
to most Midtown evening activities. Just a couple blocks form
Broadway and around the corner from SERIOUS shopping.
Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, The Metropolitan Museum,
and the Jacob Javitz Center- Can all be reached in just a few
minutes by cab.

performance of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities and
rooms and the completeness of the facilities. For instance, the
gym has up to date equipment and is a retreat to civility with
lounge chairs in the locker area. Massage and facials are available.
There is a complete and very serviceable business center with
Secretarial services and meeting rooms. Most of the base priced
rooms are average size for NYC and well appointed. (Note: average
size for NYC means smaller than most other cities, but the use
of space is highly leveraged and the appointments of the room
compensate.)

Essex house is directly across from Central Park, Take some time
during your stay to experience the beauty of the park. Run, walk,
